每年中秋必聽。最美的pop rock年代。
一個聽者在youtube這首歌下面留言：我女兒的婚禮，大家在這首歌中跳舞。現在她是五個孩子的媽媽，其中一個唐氏症。這個美娃兒誕生時，我們頗為受創，現在她32歲，是我們生命裡最美好的東西。大家繼續貼歌吧。生命真美好。
可惜這首作品歌頌的對象Prince已經離開人間。但是有過他的人間，聆聽者曾在他的音樂裡得到圓滿，看到皎潔滿月。
圓與不圓存乎一心。就像新科艾美獎影后凱特溫斯蕾不准導演p掉她的肥肚皮，因為「所有的肥肉與皺紋都是我」。
願你也在這首作品中看到月亮的全貌。肥肉與皺紋不是「殘月」，而是「月亮的另一面」。

轉眼，寫這個專頁(臉書「何穎怡的大耳朵」）已經快十二年，不敢置信。記得其中好幾年，我在中秋節都會放這首歌。我羨慕歌曲中的那個「你」，當別人看到殘月，他看到滿月。他攀高走遠跑快，所以他看到獨角獸也看到民房，他看到星辰之下所有珍貴的夢想與視野。
這首歌原唱是Waterboys，我在聯合報與民生報剛寫樂評時就介紹過這個樂團。手上還有一張白標黑膠。什麼是白標黑膠呢？就是黑膠中間的圓標上沒有字。為什麼會有這種東西？那是當年國外母公司提供台灣代理公司壓製母帶用的片子。唱片公司轉刻母帶後，就把那張黑膠轉送給我。
那是非常久遠以前的事了。因為白標唱片，所以封套也是白的。直到非常多年之後，我才知道Waterboys在做這張專輯This is the Sea 時，團員經常聊到Prince的Purple Rain專輯，出版唱片時，就在唱片上寫For Prince, U saw the whole of the moon。
因為如此，Prince翻唱過這首歌，沒出版，唱過兩次。他是Prince，唱法當然完全不同。Prince翻唱一首歌永遠有辦法唱出他自己的風格。否則怎麼會被奉為「我們只看到殘月，他卻看到完整滿月」呢？
